I was in the corps for 5 years and never once been tested or known anyone thats been tested for gear. I did sit in on a court marshall for a marine testing positive on crystal meth. That be it.

Gear Tests in the military are usually a Command Decision. It's the military.......training killers......they really don't give a fuck about how you increase your performance to be a better killer. But.........there is always a but........military in the Combat Arts are known for their physical attributes......they are athletes.....most can tell when a person is juicing. Now here is the but.........
If a person is a regular assssssssssshole and disrespectful to their Superiors.......one way or another they will get that person.......if that person looks like a juicer......it just makes their job easy......LT just goes to the Commander and tells him that he thinks Joe Blow is juicing. The Commander may have always known......but he asks......."what kind of person is this juicer" LT says "he is a regular asshole to the team......he's not team oriented and desrespectful to his Superiors". Your death warrant was just sealed. Drug and Anabolic Test is ordered just to make it easy to get rid of a 'Non Team Player'.........it's all politics. Play the game......keep your mouth shut......do what you're told.......be respectful......even kiss ass when needed......they won't care what you do......
This mostly ONLY applies to the Combat Arts.......not the support people in the rear that work with the women & pencil neck geeks.

Even when I had a soldier who did juice I never questioned him or anything. I knew what he was doing, and I think he knew I knew. The only guys I knew of who were caught got caught with it in their barracks room during a health and welfare. Here's the catch: the commander was looking to catch them selling coke and never suspected AS (hell, they didn't even know what the gear was when they found it! it took a lab test). The two never tested positive for roids or coke, they were simply drug dealers. This was all at FT Bliss, Texas where you can just walk across the border to Juarez and walk back in the blink of an eye!

Thanks bros...I got a little nervous when the "wing commander" briefed that "drug use and steroid use endanger the lives of every airman and himself, so therefore will not be tolerated!" The steroid part just got me thinking if someone got caught or something.., but thanks for reassuring me!
