gear and drinking alcohol

so what is the deal with gear and drinking........whenever i am on.....i refuse to drink any alcohol...because i believe it interferes with my growth....yet i know some people who drink when they are on gear......so i am basically curious......can you drink when you are on or you would just be wasting your money if you do......
 
Whenever I drink and I am on, it slows down my progress. I can feel it from day to day, the difference if I drink and don't drink is definitely a factor with training.

I seem to be more injury prone when drinking as well.
 
I think the occasional beer is o.k., but heavy drinking will dehydrate you and can cause injury, wheather it slows your growth is hard to say, I drink more than I should( a case a week is norm) and try to not drink on the night before training. I think it also affects some more than others-just like any drug.
 
I also drink way too much. I don't think it effects my gains greatly, however I would be and am concerned more with the effect alcohol has on an already taxed liver. ESPECIALLY if you are doing any orals.
 
Drinking f******* kills your gains. When cycling you want to retain water in your muscles. Drinking alcohol dehydrates your muscles and basically limits your gains. There was a huge poster at my old gym that showed you how bad alcohol really is on your muscles. I wish i could show you that.
 
when i am on i never drink i completely stop......but i am in college and when i dont drink i feel like am missing out......sure i am bigger and stronger than most of the people....i was just wondering if i could still get trashed......and still use A S to my full advantage......thanks for the help fellas..........
 
Alcohol is a Toxin to your body. Your body must devote it's resources to removing this toxin from itself. The more your drink the more stress it puts on your body to remove this toxin. Your body's first priority is to keep itself in homeostasis and not build muscle. This goes to say that obviously the more you drink the less available resources your body has to devote towards muscle recovery. This is not to mention when taken in conjunction with oral steriods the additional stress it puts on your liver. Obviously, if you want the ultimate body the you should keep the drinking to a minimum.
 
Another option:

Sometimes going out with friends and enjoying drinks is as important in your quality of life as is an impressive physique.

If you are "on cycle" and have an opportunity to go hang out with your friends at a bar - try this:

Take about 3 or 3.5 MG of Ativan and drink N/A beer like O'Douls. You will feel pretty buzzed and "lose" while not hindering your results or taxing your liver at all.

i hear ya i goto a huge party school. do what i do, go to the bars. have one maybe two bud lights all night, or ask for tonic water. pace yourself. my friends are supportive some know my deal.

also if you go to a party and don't wanna feel lmeft ouit fill a power aid bottle with diet sprite and add just a tiny bit of vodka. works for me.

I say its all about moderation.....I have done cycles where I didnt touch alcohol and cycles where i went out once a week. I have never noticed any setback in gains. I only drink at most these days 4-6 beers 1 night a week and thats considered a heavy drinking night for me. I guess its where you want to draw the line thats how I look at it. Im not willing to give up throwing a couple back with my friends since I know im busting my balls and eating right everyday. fuck I still dabble in rec drugs sometimes, I still make it to the gym every work out and always intence when on............ Only live once, Have to enjoy the time your here, if that means not drinking or drinking so be it........
 
I got wrecked last night for the first time on this cycle. I wasnt going to dirnk at all but i was gettin pretty bored. Anyways i think this might be the last time or one of the lsat because I'm actually 4 lbs lighter than yesterday. Just goes to show you how much it dehydrates you.
