So the word "gay" is used on the net and around me often in real life with somewhat humorous and somewhat negative connotations ... with the versatility of other words like 'fuck'
Example:
"This situation is gay" (lame, sucks, not preferable)
"You're gay" (lame, homosexual, stupid)
"This thread is geigh"
etc.. etc...
I'm curious as to how the members who are actually gay here react to this, as I imagine the adoption of the term gay in way that it is used may make things difficult for them and the efforts to be better accepted
However, on an upside it is also used in a negative but humorously negative way, and its use increases familiarity with the idea of being gay which can be helpful as well
Don't call this thread geigh either
