Well I'm sure my cats didn't give me lyme disease. I never had a cat with a tick or a flea. I'm pretty sure I got lyme from being in NY state a lot.
But yes, cats do cause many to have allergic reactions. Again, it's not their fault. Be hostile at the universe for the situation, not the cat!

and to note, lyme is also spread by bird ticks, mosquitos and maybe even black flies.

i'm the same way...but get this, for the last two weeks i've been living with a cat, my folks cat.
and it's realy hairy...a week or so ago i awoke and it was sleeping on my bed, hair all over my face.
instantly i was short of breathe and reaching for the prima-tine mist.
