I never used to post, I would just come here to educate myself. I still come here for the education, but a couple months ago I made the decision that I should contribute something back, so now I attempt to do that. I’ve done this in the past, I contribute for a while then stop posting for a few months. For the most part, I concentrate on the newbie posts. I’ve learned something though, and there’s no way to say this without sounding like an ass, and in reality I guess I’m just an ass. Oh well, I can live with that.

Too many people just want an answer without bothering to understand the reasons. Actually, they don’t even want an answer; they just want someone to make decisions for them. Luckily I’m not talking about the majority of people here, but still way too many for my comfort. In reality it’s just a few, and they are almost always newbies but these people are the ones in the most dangerous of positions. They really don’t know the risks nor do they know how to handle them when they arise. Okay, now for my rant…

You see the same question, by the same individual over-and-over and it finally boils down to, “please, just tell me what to do and I will do it.” If you stop replying to the thread, well then they just start hitting you up with email, “tell me what to do….” If you try to offer options, or to explain why they may want to make choice A, B, or C, you shortly receive a “tell me which one I should choose.” If you try to steer them in a sensible direction (let’s say C were sensible) you just get the “Oh, I don’t really like choice C, can you tell me which one I should choose?” If you start explaining the merits again, you just get another email that shows they have little to no interest in the reasons why they should choose A, B or C (ie: an email that shows they didn’t read your last email) they just want the answer that will get them to their goal as fast as possible.

There are people on here for which I have considerable respect, DrJMW, Andy13, macro, genarr3, fonz, ironmaster, Fukkenshredded, and about ten others come to mind. Regardless of my respect for these people there isn’t a chance in hell that I am going to do something, to my body, just because one of them told me to. We’re experimenting on every cycle here and our experiments are based on an anecdotal knowledge base. It isn’t fair for someone to ask me or anyone else to make these kinds of decisions for them. This is your health you’re playing with you and need to make these decisions on your own….

I understand your frustration completely. I get constant PM's, and have to deal with this. You are correct, we all make our own risks, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to take the risks I do, and others do things I'm not willing to do to my own body. However, this seems to be an ongoing thing here, and do not expect your frustration to end soon. I find its best to just not worry about it. Give the best and most reasonable advice you can, and let people do what they will. If your advice was the best you could give, then feel good about that fact that you did the right thing. Karma for your thread.

Good post.

I agree, it is all an experiment and we are all trying something new and different in every cycle. But on the other hand we are trying to leverage each others experiences. I know I may be new to the board, but I certainly not new to gear (although I have been off for six years and I am now restarting it again). The frustrating part for me on this board is people responding with certainty about cycles without any substantiated data. For example, I was considering combining Test+Deca+EQ and I received so many posts stating that combining Deca and EQ is useless or 1.5 g/week is too much gear. My take on this is, if you had direct experience that response but if you just have an opinion than keep it to yourself and do not be an ass about it. Opinions are like assholes… every one has one and think that theirs does not stink.
