Frantic people

What's up with people who always seeme frantic, like in the office? These people aren't doing any more work than I am, yet they are always running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Why? Is this just a personality trait? I very rarely get like that and i when i see someone acting all frantic around me it really bugs the shit outta me and makes me feel nervous. I want to tell them to Fawkin relax already.

Getting a bit FRANTIC for an answer aren't ya?

I am one of those that never do.

I don't work in an office, but I see the same shit in school on exam day. I'll come to class having hardly studied, and I'm confident...then I see these mother fuckers sitting outside the classroom with papers everywhere freaking out. And they start asking me these questions that are far too complicated to actually be on the exam, and I'm like "hmmmm, I didn't even think about that." And then I start worrying that maybe I should have studied.

But I always do better than them in the end anyways, cuz I don't get freaked out by exams. So I guess I know what you're talkin about, just not in the office worker sense.

I'm probably one of those people.

I am big procrastinator, so when I have a big project due, I usually wait until the last couple of days to do it and will usually run around in frantic state trying to get evrything done,

Also, when I am not doing much (like most of the time that I am sitting here on chat) once or twice a day, I will get up and walk around the place in a frantic like state as if I'm doing something important, even when i'm jsut doing some medial task. That way people just assume that I am always busy and never question what I do at my desk all day (including my boss).

You sound like George Costanza. You should build a little sleep station under your desk.

I just did it right now.

I walked to a few key peoples desk (like my bosses) and asked some "ballbuster" questions so that it appears like I have some sort of important agenda or task for the day and now I'm back at my desk.

Of course, I did have to prove myself before I found these loop wholes and I do need to show quality and my worth avery now and then.

I guess I'm just uncomfortable around these people and I wish they would go away from me. Or calm the hell down.

When people like that come up to me the first thing I say is. Ok when you calm down you can ask me your question, until then shut up or go away, preferably both. Maybe that's why no one asks me questions anymore ;)

Frantic people are annoying. 99.99% of their frantics are their own damn doing too. They're really disorganized and think being frantic makes up for it somehow. This quote is for them: "Procrastination on YOUR part does not constitute an emergency on MY part."

The same goes for people who brag about working late or weekends when the job really doesn't require it. Doesn't impress me one bit - it only tells me they need to improve their time management skills or find a job more attuned to their skill level.
