well just like to hear some opinions on this

do any of you prefer the older body style 1994-1998 generation

or the 1999-2003
?


i am leaning towards the 1994-1999

the 99 cobra had some mechanical problems and every last one fo those big kids had be brought in for work( they didnt even manufacture a 2000 cobra)

I'm biased because I owned a 94 GT, but I prefer that body style over the boxier ones. I think the 96 Mystic Cobra was the best looking Mustang to come out in the past 9 years. The 2003 Cobras are obviously bad ass with the 400hp, but I'm guessing that's probably a bit on the expensive side for you. Get a 96-99 Cobra.

I'm partial to the 93 cobra. I do like the 94 since they still had the 5.0 engine but not the body style. I like the 99-03 GT's but the 03 cobra looks sissy with it's sleek lines. I'm just counting the days until the 05-06 dream machines

Actually hers has polished chrome pony rims with the black covert top and black leather interior with the matching painted mirrors. It's a really nice ride. It's getting pretty old though and she has put about 100k miles on it so she only drives to work and back. Needs a new paint job and a couple interior fixes but other than that, the car has never had any major problems

my bad...i forgot it's the white one that came with the white rims. did the red one come with white rims? they made a yellow, red, and white if i remember correctly.

do you remember the 90 LX anniversary lx convertible they made that only came in emerald green w/white top and had the GT rims? i liked that one, too.

Yea I just edited my last reply indicating which one she has. I vaguely remember that 90. What I wouldn't give to own a stang. Hopefully within the next few years

I've got an 03 so I'm a bit biased but I love the 99+ look. The 96-98 had shitty heads which hurt them in the power department. The 94-95 have the 5.0 that a lot people like, cheaper to mod etc but you're also talking a shit load of mileage. Hey it's a mustang. The problem you speak of in the 99 cobra was fixed for free by Ford, I believe the engines had low compression or faulty heads. They did make an 00 cobra but it was the cobra r, basically a collectors item.

With the used car market as it is, you could pick up a sweet 01 cobra, with the DOHC v8. Throw on bilstein shocks/struts, H&R supersports, a set of C/C plates and sub-frames and your car will run low 13's and have the handling to back it up.

the green 90 you are referring to is called a 7-UP car. I recently sold my 1996 Mystic Cobra so I am a little biased.

i feel you get more bang for your buck with a roush mustang

i would buy a COBRA R..... it is not a regualr cobra.......
