I am doing my first comp diet is going well I am very very strict not cheating one bit at all, I am at prob 7-8 % bodyfat my comp is 39 days away...I am only having trouble with my midsection it is not looking as good as I want I am uping my cardio this week to 5-6 times for about 35-45 minutes, and next week I start super setting..I was wondering if I will see better results when I start sodium and water depletion...or any ideas on what to take or do?? currently on fina/suspension blend, armidex, clen (not yet next week and winny tabs)...?:confused:
 
that is a high bodyfat 1 1/2 months out. increase your cardio two twice a day 5 times a week but also slighlly increase calories. just to make sure your on
1. no oils
2. no dairy
3. no sugar
4. no fruit
5. cease all protein powders and eat only grilled raw foods ( chicken, turkey, fish make sure its raw and not pumped with sodium)
6 hit abs hard using some weight resistance and tan indoors to help remove water.
7. pose everynight in clothes for 45 minutes to 1 hour. go through routine and madatory poses. this will harden ya up.
8. don't fuck with water and carb depletion wait unbtil last week. carbs should be consumed early and not after say 7pm ( htis works for me)
9. take in efa's to help not waste away with cardio and diet.
10. I can lose 1-3% bodyfat last month depending on how low I am. its easier to go from 7 to 5 than from 5-3 as body begins to shut down and panic to save extra bodyfat for survival.
11. watch all oils at this point. fina was fine for me up to contest time take clen and winny now.

Flexed1 - I heard the above statement made plenty of times for those of us who compete, but I've never completely understood the rational of eliminating all protein powders. Fill me in if you could. Thanks.
 
look at ingredients on the back of protein powders. the question becomes the last 6 weeks are crtical. would you eat any of the items listed on the container to go on stage ripped? many have corn oils, sugars, fillers etc. they would smooth the body out or could in many. the ones who say they use powders for shows are the ones who get paid to say that.

Yeah, when your in a caloric deficit dieting for a show, don't you do any high carb (refeed) meals to reset your metabolism, increase leptin levels, and keep your thyroid from down regulating?
 
JG none actually. I am very carb sensitive and it was something we did for my first show and it worked very badly. carbs smooth me out big time so i keep them under 140 grams for most of my diet and the last two weeks a bit lower than carb deplete on wednesday before show. i simply eat fats like a small amount of almonds to have the same effect but only when i feel my body needs them by the mirror and not because i crave them. i was even thinking about trying a fat loading week of show as it works very well for me the oppisite of the carbs. i will say my last 6 weeks are very very strict though if i look on track or ahead i have been known to consume pizza to fill back out ( per your question) but never within 6 weeks its almonds or 2 tbl of peanut butter. my contest cycle has been told before always halo, winny, fina, prop last 4 weeks before show. throw in 1/2 anadrol last week or so to keep full.
 
Flexed1 laid it out. The majority of the section you are talking about was always water weight for me. Follow the above steps and it will dissolve way before show time.

So with the low calorie diet for all those weeks (months), you've never had a problem with your thyroid becoming dormant, or your fat loss coming to a halt from your metabolism not being "reset" by a high calorie day ?
 
fat loss only was a problem when it became to low. my body seemed to slow down at 6% and it took me longer to get to 4% than it did to go from 8% to 6%. i will aslo add i ate hydroxcut and lived for cardio so the fat just melted. when i was show dieting like clock work i ate and was hungry every 2 hours. honestly i tried like hell to eat 7 meals a day. i hit the zone where everything kicked and i was like a furnace witt he fat burning. i posted back in 2000 my contest pictures and i was fucking shredded. they are still here somewhere in johnny o's member pictures. i over dieted but i was fucking shredded crazy ripped.
 
actually go to top of page under member services and click on free web sites. look at johhny o's memebr pictures and see a photo of me. keep in mind i am 139 in that picture and lsot barely to a guy who is now a pro . he won the nationals as a middle weight i think last year. again i over dieted losing 10 pounds the last week because of a simple miscalculation of diet and aldactone.
 
I think I was a little off on my body fat peeps are telling me no more then 5-6 percent but I don't know I am going to measure it tomorrow and then ill let you all know being short sometimes messes with me...hahah unless your lee priest

Flexed I have a question. I posted a thread earlier this morning before I read this one and I was asking if anyone knows if Atlantis Stenox (Halo) 2.5mg tabs were any good. It is the only Halo I can get my hands on right now.

oh yea its all I took as I am in Texas. I cycled up with them starting at 8 week 1 and maxing out at 12 but that was me . I took them twice a day to keep my agreesion up before cardio and than again before working out. They amke a big difference when on diet mode and help with strength and hardness. I take no more than 5 1/2 weeks or so. Atlantis also amkes the "famous" sten and is a good company and as far as I know there are no fakes.
 
Thanks. Yeah I got some Sten coming my way. I think I'm getting hosed on the Halo though. The price seems high. Check your PM.

P.S. This is also the first time I will be trying the famous Sten. I've never used Sten or Sust or any Atlantis product for that matter. Tried most others.
 
sten is cheap and weak but i used it when i first started as it and sus 250 redi jects was all i saw thatw as real and walked it from mexico into the states. made me an asshole.
