For the strict dieters out there

BRD

A girl said to me the other day "You are gonna be single for a long time if you keep up with your eating habits" , I didnt really take any notice of it at the time and just shrugged it off as a retarded thing to say to me.
But now im curious because i havent had a partner since ive started dieting (i know the dieting isnt the blame for that though :))
How did it work out with your partners that didnt share the same kind of strict dieting as you ? did it affect the relationship in any way ? did it bother your partner that you werent eating the same food as them ? and any other experiences you would like to share on the matter would be great , cheers :)

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum wasent sure where to put it.

my girlfriend is making me fat ugh.

You gotta find a chick thats into the same things as you - a good place to do that is at the gym.

its tough sometimes to find girls that understand, but there are many that do.

Some get nervous about guys with strict diets because they themselves have struggled with eating disorders before and have been overly scrutinized.

Women don't want their man to be more discipline than them when it comes to eating. Look at the physiques of most of the women out their. Those women don't want to be limited on what they can eat because food is more important to them than what their bodies look like. That's why alot of women blow up after they find a man and get married. When you set the limitation of food upon them, they feel like they have to do the same and there's the problem.

It would be ideal to find a women who likes eating healthy not just for looks (because when we're young our metabolism can handle alot of junk without the weight gain) but for health reasons also. Good Luck!

Maybe she meant you were eating with your mouth open and farting?

Don't worry about it bro. My wife doesn't eat like I do (clean) and there's no tension. After all, she loves me for me, not what, or how I eat. The people who usually say those things are just jealous of your self control and discipline. They wish they had it!

Thanks for all the replies its much appreciated and you all have valid points :)
Guess you gotta have the attitude that you can make anything work and if it doesnt then it wasent meant to be anyway

I think its harder to meet & get into a relationship if it is scoped by your eating habits - that may make her feel like you're obsessive or spend more time on yourself than on her. And depending on just how hardcore you are -- guys on lots of protein shakes & what not can be more explosive than a herd of backed up cows....

It does make it easier if you are with someone who is into the lifestyle tho.

I'm jealous, too.

See that would'nt work for me. I don't find 'perfect bodied' women attractive. I like a bit of natural meat. Genetic meat even. Its this that makes the even balance. And thats what a relationship is all about... an even balance.

My husband & I eat differently anyway......he's a vegetarian & I'm not, for example......so it doesn't matter to him or me.....but when I was dieting down for my show & got cranky - ehhhhhh.... ;)
