I can hardly be bothered to comment on your lame rebuttal. One of Fonz`s suck ass disciples. You don`t know me, so what makes you think you have any idea of my grey matter.
And anyway, all I was doing was asking what HE meant by the quote exactly.
I knew that one could say that I was showing all I am interested in people, so well done for picking me up on that one.
Ok I know what Fonz means, weak minded people are interested in idle gossip and other people`s affairs and other people`s opinons of themselves, great minds are interested in ideas, philosophers and the like and in between are those interested in facts when in reality you can never be sure what is true.
Ok fair enough, some truth in it but. To take it quite literally, take a social problem like homelessness, to examine this one would have to look at facts, say the relationships of governmental policy and homelessness figures. Also examine people, and how they have come about into such a situation, and contemplate ideas on how the problem could be solved. Thus using all of Fonz`s notions from weak to great.
As I said I understand the quote, see some truth in it, but think that it really doesn`t apply in the end.
What about someone studying the relationship of the public and celebrity, is that a weak minded pursuit? It would encompass ideas, facts and people.
Reminds me a bit of the old JFK quote
Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.
People think its left wing, but in fact it is very, very right wing. So like with Fonz`s quote, sounds good but doesn`t really work in the end.
haha what a waste of time these board discussions usually are.
