Florida or California?

If you had a choice to move to either,...which would you pick, where (what part) and why? Keeping in mind,... I am talking about living there, not going to party.

california, not quite sure which part though. drier climate in cali (lived there for a few years). i can deal with earthquakes. had a 7.1 hit while i was living out there, epicenter 40 miles from where i was. i joked around with the girl i had got done fucking less than an hour earlier that i fucked her so hard, the earth moved.

florida - not a chance. hurricanes. no way. i hate rain. humidity....no thanks. and bugs. lots and lots of bugs. mosquitos included. i'd rather live in a place wondering if the earth was going to fall into the sea than live where the sea tries to reclaim the earth in the form of swamps and massive storms.

unless you're work in "the industry" or some job that can't be moved elsewhere -- everyone is moving OUT of california. I've had 10 people that have moved out of the state in the past couple years.

if you speak spanish -- this state is f'n awesome. my city's 70% mexican. yeah, you heard that right.

and let's NOT even get into traffic...don't even dare bring that up....

I would've said California but that was before the reasons the governor was replaced. The cost to live there is why so many people are moving out.

CA is great, weather, environment, ocean etc.

But the place is overrun by Mexicans, the fiscal policies might actually break the state and the business climate is scaring corporations away. If youre a high income earner, avoid CA.

Florida has humidity and bugs, and much of the state is redneck southern trash. (CA gets rural too....) Amazingly, though, buildings are air conditioned.

But FL has a very friendly tax code and business climate.

Within FL, the only place to really consider is South FL. North FL is really Georgia, South FL is really the place to be. Within South FL, Palm Beach is the nicest area - richest zip code in the US, so bring money if you want to live there - also West Palm, Ft Lauderdale and all the towns in betwee are nice.

Miami is a great place to visit, unless you are Latin, or gay, or both, don't live there.

Reasons to live in San Diego:

Cleaner air then LA

Not as many mexicans(But they are still there trust me)

GREAT weather, that is not as humid as FL.

Hot Chicks.

Very nice scenery.

Traffic is not as bad as LA.

Awesome nightlife(I know you said you dont party, but give it a shot )

Its pretty pricey and as matt said, some of the laws and policies are pretty whack.

San Diego is pretty good (hot HOT ass college chicks) and real pretty. I just find it kinda boring tho.

As for mexicans, yeah when they jump the border -- last thing they want to do is stay that close to it and bump into border patrol on their way to work -- so they all immediately drive up to la so they can blend in. As a result, we lose NFL football teams and can barely support NHL teams. Grrrrr...

Florida is much more lenient.

and california traffic never bothered me. lane splitting for motorcycles is 100% legal.

I hate San Diego.. too crowded WAY too crowded, too many illegals.. city governments are corrupt as hell.. developers OWN San Diego and social policy is dictated by them.

Taxes are insane, gas is insane.

Every day all I think about is how badly I want to get the hell out of SD.
