flax vs. other efa's?

Nathan

New member
I've read about the benefits of taking flax oil, but I'm not keen on getting about 150 or so of my daily calories while dieting from something that has no good taste value. So, how much more would flax benefit fat loss (and muscle sparing) than if I simply got my efa's from unsalted peanuts and salmon?

Dear Nathan,

A lot of people have respective views on this topic, yet here is my own view.

I always went by one rule: EFA's = Omega 3,6,9, no matter what source, are still a healthy fat (EFA). So, if you are not keen on using Flaxseed, then, sure, go ahead and eat some fish, or have 2 tbsp of ALL NATURAL unsalted peanut butter. (remember dieting is NOT FUN, but it doesn't not have to be a suicide mission)

hemp is considered better than flax because of its ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 and omega 9s.... flax is good but imballanced
