Flax/Udos oil storage

Must oils like flax and Udos be refrigerated, or are they fine as long as they are at room temperature and cooler (as long as its not hot)?

I was told by the guy at the supp store that if refrigerated it will last for along time, 2 or more years, if not refrigerator it will last for about a year.

Any truth to this? Will keeping it a room temperature degrade the quality of the fats? My shit only needs to last about a week.

I keep a bottle of Udo's at work, but the fridge is a few steps from here. It would be much more convenient if I could keep it at my desk, plus I wouldn't every one asking me "what is that?" "Why are you taking it?" "blah blah blah blah blah".

keep it in the fridge. These oils go rancid very quick at room temp. As far as how long they last in the fridge, 2-3months tops. Only freezing them will give you a year or two. Trust me on this.

It gets shipped from the factory w/out cold packing. So sitting at your desk for a day should be fine. Just throw it back in the fridge overnight.

Barlean's Flax and Udo's are shipped only in refrigderated trucks. They are also the only two I find palatable.

I buy mine a local health store called Clovers. They keep them cold in the store also.
