First Quad Pin...Infected?

So I pinned my quad for the first time on Mon and man what a shitty experience. So I used a 1.5" 23g needle. I left out about 1/2" since most people advise 1".

So I went in towards the upper outter part. About 2.5" down from the middle and about 2 hand widths down from the groin. I went in slow, hit a nerve and the needle jumped bad. I pulled out, went about 1" lower and repinned. It went in easier but still painful.

So it still hurts today, hard to bend, a little swollen near the knee (hasn't gone lower) and a little red.

Wondering if it is an infection? The pain is getting a little better each day, there's no huge lump and the injection spot itself is pretty much gone (no bruising, redness or puss).

Just virgin muscle pain with from a 23g and 2.2cc?

You injected 2.2 cc in one pin? That could be partly why. Also it could be your gear. Most likely your fine as long as you kept everything sterile. When I pin for the first few times in a cycle it will feel a little fevered and sore for a few days. I use 22g though and only go in 1 inch on legs.

Yeah.... Doing 1.2 of Eq and 1 of Test C. Pinning Mon and Thur.

Don't really see any other way to do it.

i used 25g 1.5" and i pinned the needle all the way in and i remembered i was feeling sore and achy but it went away after 2-3 days.
i think as long as no swelling or lump, it should be virgin muscle pain but then it's different from mine as I dont have swollen at the knee or hard to bend.
could you have pinned too low instead?

Maybe...I felt like it was pretty high though
