I'm 35, have been training enthusiastically for 2 years and have done pretty well (gaining about 10 to 15 good pounds). I'm 6 ft, 190# and my goal is to gain 10 to 15 lbs over the next 6 months. I'd like to try a cycle. A guy at my gym wants me to stack deca and anavar for 8 to 10 weeks. From what I read Deca seems to make sense... but anavar? What would anavar add? I want to take advantage of the fact that during a first cycle you're supposed to get a bigger bang out of less stuff. I think my goals are reasonable. I want to make sure I keep the risks in balance and above all else I want to do everything I can to keep whatever gains I realize after the cycle ends. Any advice?
