Anyone that gets pleasure out of releasing staff is an ASSHOLE! This is one of the worst parts about any managerial occupation.

Firing someone means that you have failed as a manager not that the staff failed to succeed. Most likely, you did not equip the staff with the necessary skills set to properly perform the job requirements, duties, and responsibilities. You're not long for the job...then you will be the "turd".

Yep, it does suck when you think that prolly 95% of people are one paycheck away from losin a house, not eating so they can pay a huge credit card debt,etc.

Yep, it would suck for "most" people to hear those words, "You're fired"

At least there`s SOME reason you have when you`re firing someone and you can say he deserved it, or he did`nt work hard enough... but I had to tell 3 prople at the same time that we were all gonna lose our jobs because the company was not doing well and they had to let them go.

I HATED THAT.

Actually it was a little worse, I did keep my job and they all were losing theirs. They were all my buddies and coworkers. It sucked.
