Finished Week 1 of CKD. Need input.

I need some input.
I'm worried if I've lost too much weight throughout this diet.

3 weeks ago, I started dieting. Not ckd, but very similar except I was consuming between 60-80carbs/day. The 2 weeks that I was testing this out I lost 10lbs... all water I'm assuming. The 3rd week (last week) I began the ckd diet. I've lost another 7lbs.

I've went from 215 to 198 in the matter of 3 weeks. I've lost a good 3/4" in my waist. Is this normal? I'm worried that I may have lost some muscle in the process. I've had alot of comments saying I look smaller, but that's what I'm trying to acheive for the time being.

I know my calculations were right.

I'm just worried about the rapid weight loss. Should I up the protein a little bit more on this diet?

Thanks

You lost water, glycogen, electrolytes, as I've told you many times before. You must have been rataining a good amount of water; plus, in a timely manner you probably lost a few lbs. of bodyfat. Of course, people are going to say you look smaller, for you lost all that inter-muscle water and glycogen and bodyfat. It's strange, when people get fat-big (so to say) people think they are "big" but when you shed unwated water and bodyfat people comment on you being small. It's all psychological, don't worry about it. I doubt you lost any muscle.

What Mr.X said is true. I've gone from a weight of 209 to 193 in about a week doing that type of diet. How's your strength?

Remember, strength factors (the lack of) can be attributed - at times- to loss of muscle glycogen, muscle water, and creatine.

Yesterday was my carb-up day, and today I worked out my entire upper body. I had alot of strength.. and alot of energy. I could have done my legs if I really wanted to.

Throughout the entire week though, and when I did my full body circuit on Sat/Sun, I felt very sluggish and weak. I was expecting that, but I really needed the carb-up day. It helped out alot.
