I've been there and done that. It makes life interesting, especially when your vision is 20/250 without glasses. :worried:

Mine is even worse... I'm pretty sure mine is around 20/400 :worried:

when did they add that line?

What line?

My vision was 20/200 something in my right and 20/300 in my left so I averaged it out to 20/250 total. Let's just say that you wouldn't have wanted me driving on the same highway with you without my glasses. :worried:

Now after surgery I can walk without bumbing into walls. ;)

LOL... what kind of surgery did you get? Lasik eye surgery?

i was just messing with you, there is no 20/250 line thats why i said it, the 20/200 is common, 20/300 is not a common line but it is used, you are legally blind btw

Yep, now I can see at about 20/25, which I can live with. :)

Sweet! 20/400 sucks... I wear contacts all the time. Lasik eye surgery is an option for the future, but not now because my vision could still be changing (the vision changes have decreased, but last time I went to the optometrist, a few months ago I think it was, my eyesight in my right eye had changed slightly so they may still change). It's not really necessary for me to get it now, but it would be nice to not have to put contacts in every morning. LOL.

wear contacts and put safety glasses on that have no rx

the only problem that might happen is fumes or very small amount of liquid under them. i work around chemicals all day.

are you pleased with the surgery overall? and how much did you pay?

Yeah, it was the best $2,000 I've ever spent, almost 4 years ago. I haven't had any problems that they warn you about, seeing at night, halo effect, etc.. The only advice I would give is check with people you know who have had it done in your area to find a good doctor.
