Up until my current age of 24 I used to be able to eat anything I want and hover around 10 - 12%. Well Lately that hasnt been the case. Looks like my metabolism is slowing down. Little depressing. Atleast bulking wont be a problem anymore.

That's alright honey, at least not in your 40s and you'll never be female :qt:

10% to 12% *sigh*

I'm almost 26 and my metabolism has never changed...it's always sucked.

I can look at a french fry and gain 5lbs.

Well atleast you werent as skinny as a pole in highschool. I had to eat 5000k to bulk which is tough.

is this a "MEMEMEMEMEME" post..... i think so.

sympathetic... a little bit.

Looking good ain't easy ;)

Don't keep crap food around (if u can...depending on living siuations) so you don't eat it.

I went through this at 24 too. While it did help me with bulking, I do have one bit of advice there. In college I would bulk pretty dirty - lots of burgers, fried chicken, junk food, etc. It worked fine then, but now if I don't bulk clean I get really soft. So if you, like I was, are used to bulking on meat, fat, salt, and junk, be sure to clean up your diet next time you try to add mass. Otherwise you could find yourself a lot fatter and only a little stronger.

Zax, you sound just like me. I used to have to eat shit food to bulk. Looks like I wont need to do that anymore. since jan I probabaly have gained 17 pounds of fat. One good thing about this is that it seems like im able to put muscle on easier as well. Did you notice that?

Yes the strength gains were there too, but all the extra bf necessitates a longer cutting cycle, and that means more weeks of muscle loss. If I never cut, it would have just been a huge amount of new muscle and fat. But since I cut periodically I look at progress as pre-bulk versus post-cut.

So the short answer is that yes I did get more muscle, but not if you net it against the losses from the longer cut. Cleaner bulks have since resulted in bigger muscle gains without the extra fat.

Cant argue with you there. Sucks though gotta eat clean now. Alot more time consuming but it will be worth it in the end.
Your BODY will thank you from the INSIDE OUT ...

24? You should be so lucky. I started storing bodyfat the second I popped out. That's right. Fat kid in the swimming pool with his shirt ON. :garza: That was me. ;)

Thank you 'Ahnold' for changing my bad ways. :verygood:

:FRlol: Ugh!!! Fat kid stories. I remember when I was a kid I wanted this toy truck that you get to sit and ride around in but I didn't fit. My parents tried to make me feel better, "Oh they're not that fun anyways."

....That's it. I'm having one custom made right now. *Dialing Fisher Price* :)

Ditto

I lived in Arizona Husky size pants... catalog order.

Glad those days are done with.

:FRlol: Husky!!! I got that all the time. "Big guy too starting in 5th grade" My little league uniform had to be specially made. Everyone else had the team's name written in cursive, mine was in big bold print. :)

:lmao:

At least we'll be fit for most of our lives when all the others will be boozing themselves into oblivion while leading their lazy lives

I thank all the stoopid bastards that gave me shit when I was younger for making me a stronger person today... Thank You all you little pricks out there... /rant :)

I wanna be lazy somedays though... then I go to the gym, lol.

No shit. I can't count the number of people who I've run into from junior high and high school who are already out of shape and/or balding. These are the same people that were skinny back in the day. One guy waited on me at the garage and didn't know who I was until I gave him my credit card. Should've knocked him out just for fun: "Oh and one last thing. *POW!!!* *THWACK!!!*" (Had to add the Batman sound effects.) :)

:lmao:

YUP! I know the feeling Zacktly! :)

I'm glad I didn't peak in junior high, high school, college, or ever... continual growth... of mind, body, and spirit is what I'm after.

/deepthought
