fina revisited

I know there have been tons of threads on how to convert fina and I have read most of them. I still have a question though. One versions says to let the solution sit vernight after adding pellets to magic solution; and then add oil. Another method describes adding the oil within one hour of dissolved pellets in the magic soultion. So the main question is how long do most experienced bros wait before adding oil to the vial containing pellets and magic solution? Thanks all.

It doesn't matter for the final outcome which method you use it is just that the 1 hour metod is faster, I prefer to just empty all pellets (uncrushed, I have tried crushing but it is the same outcome, just a pain) into the magic sollution at let set until dissolved at least overnight. Hope this helps

I just did my conversion yesterdy and soon as the pellets dissolved in the majic solution, I then added the oil from the second vial.

Thanks guys. Then after adding the oil, you let it sit (overnight)until all the "binders" separate in the bottom and then filter it, right? Any problems with filter clogging up? thanks again.

I'm still pretty new at making fina, but I'll try to help anyway.

After the pellest dissolved in the majic solution I added the oil and gave it a good swirl. I then boiled water and poured the water into a bowl and placed the vial in the water...with the water covering the vial about halfway up. I let it stay there for 10 minutes, and gave it another good swirl. Then I let it sit overnight and the solids will fall to the bottom of the vial.

What JG1 said is correct. To answer you about the filter clogging up, you dont want to suck up the gunk on the bottom with the syringe or Im sure it could. Make sure you get a kit from "A" as well. They are the best!
