Fina detection time?

I searched the archives but came up with nothing. I have read the fina can be detected for 4-5 weeks and I have also read that it can be detected for up to 4-5 months. Anyone know the real deal on this? I have a buddy that needs to know. He is getting ready to go into a government law enforcement job and is holding off until he gets some answers. Also, is there any difference in detection times whether you use it transdermally or by injections? Thanks fellas.
