Has anyone ever applied to the FBI, DEA, ATF, US Marshals or any other Federal Law Enforcement agency?

If so, please describe your experiance.

I am familiar with all of these. when i left the military I was recurtied by each agency. Email me and I can give you more info if you want.

Basically - Marshals pay shit and it is easy to get into. Degree preerred not required.

ATF - likewise, except it is harder to get into.

FBI - need a degree - extensive background check - rigorous psychologcial eval.

DEA - more intense background especially regarding drug use....same is true of Secret Service.

The only one I have direct knowledge of is the FBI. You are being much too general when you ask. If you want to be a special agent, pretty tough standards. If you want to be a filing clerk for the FBI, not so tough. I assume you are interested in doing something like FBI Special Agent. If so, you need a degree, must pass extensive background check, etc. Must have working experience before you will be considered for position as special agent. They do not accept new college grads without experience into special agent program. Also, the application is like a damn book. Good Luck.

Off topic? Me and a friend got an application for the CIA
at berkley one time it asked questions like could you live in a worn torn
country? indefinitly, with minimum contact with family,
no contact with family, little contact with other agents, no contact with other agents for months to year or more
at a time? And no shit, could you kill someone you knew
could you kill a stranger? Most want a least a two
year criminal justice degree.

I was recruited by the FBI out of college and did the psych/physical testing just for kicks. They give you this long ass psych test with variant-repeaters, to try and trip you up and a physical and marksmanship test.

I have radical leanings according to the FBI and do not respond well to authority. I could have told them that without filling out the damn test! Also I can shoot a gun like no body's buis.

The Cool part about the marksmanship test is how many clicks you can get off with a standard revolver in 10 seconds. Grip strength is essential.

Plus if you make it past the psych/phys testing you have 22 weeks of training at quantico, in Va. FUCK THAT!!!! I leave that kind of personal self abuse to the big bucks of the world....
