Dear Mr. ________

This Office has learned that you may have recently purchased capsules of a substance known as 2,4 Dinitrophenol or DNP over the Internet. DNP is highly toxic and potentially lethal. It is not approved or suitable for use as a drug and should not be ingested for any purpose.

This office of the Food and Drug Administration urges you to immediately stop use of this product if you have purchased it to ingest it as a weight loss aid or for any other purpose.

Your cooperation may help prevent injury to yourself or others from the misuse or improper handling of this product. The proper disposal of DNP is necessary to insure your safety as well as those who may unknowingly come in contact with it.

...has anyone else gotten something like this or did i just screw up at some point somehow? I feel like I'm being watched all of the time now.

On a related note, I just ran across this tidbit on another site regarding fina and the FDA. I guess it begs the question: how closely is the FDA monitoring users, and at what point would they actually enforce the laws?

"As of January 1996, all sales of implants are recorded and sent to the FDA. Department of Agriculture. Laws regarding growth promoting agents. 33 (1): 337-417 1 Title 21-Food and Drugs. Excluded veterinary anabolic steroid implant products. 2 (1): 1308 Chances are if you purchase the implants and sign for them, or obtain them by mail order, the FDA is aware of what you bought."

As long as you don't distribute anything, they have to leave you alone. Buying fina is not illegal.

that's what I keep hearing, but why is fina listed as a scheduled agent on the DEA web site?

Substance Trenbolone
DEA Number 4000
CSA Schedule III
Classification Non Narcotic
Other Names Finaplix-S, Finajet, Parabolan

Ooops--you're right.

The veterinary anabolic steroid implant products which are described in 21 CFR 1308.26 are excluded from application of the CSA in relation to their production, distribution, and use in animals only. If any person distributes, dispenses or otherwise diverts these products to use in humans, he/she shall be deemed to have distributed a Schedule III controlled substance and may be prosecuted for CSA violations. The veterinary anabolic steroid implants products which are excluded from application of the CSA are as follows:
