fat loss for an old guy??

oldlifter1949

I am 55 (be 56 in November) and have been lifting for nearly 40 years. I did some powerlifting and was pretty competetive in the midwest. I switched to body building when i was in my young 40s. I actually got fairly competetive at the local and regional level in that too.

Now, I lift 5 days a week and do 40 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. My body fat has inceased pretty much every year for the past 5. My diet sucks right now and I know I am responsible for taking care of that.

Question--would type of diet would some of you older lifters suggest?? The more exact the better. Anything that you can e-mail would be great ([email protected]).

Question--I have access to gear, omna, primo, and am trying to score some HGH---what would be your suggestion of a cycle to use to lose body fat?? Specifically, how much GH/day--should I take test at all? Should I take primo at all?

THis old guy thanks everyone in advance.

I'm an old guy too, and have commented many times on these boards how much more difficult it is to keep trim once I reached my 40's.

My personal cutting agents are var and gh.

1. Var has been shown to actually have a lipolytic effect on visceral, not sub-q, fat.

2. Var kills my appetite, so that I don't have to fight the munchies so hard.

3. Var allows me to maintain my muscle even when doing CKD or other extremely low cal diets.

4. Gh has lipolytic effects which are both local and systemic. It helps me recover faster, improves my immune system (I'm never sick), eases the pain my old joints suffer the morning after a big workout, improves my state of mind, I could go on and on.

That said, test is still my all time fav aas, but not for cutting.

Damn 40 minutes and still gain body fat. First get a good diet in order and commit to sticking with it. I eat a 2000 calorie a day diet. I eat mostly protein (helps keep most of the muscle). Best thing to do is go to a diet website. Their are tons of them. Like www.calorieking.com There you can develop you own diet. Only you know what you like to eat or want to eat. But as far as AAS. You can use test to cut with. It's about what you eat not what you take. Test will add some water weight. I personally don't use any AAS when cutting. I let my body clean out while cutting. But that's just me. Good Luck !!!

1. aromatase inhibitor- essential with increased age comes elevated aromatase production
2. Glucorell- insulin sensitivity (declines with age), liver protection, anti-oxident
3. Sesamax- insulin sensitivity, FAS inhibition, liver, cholesterol
4. Levorex- non stimulant fat burner (with health benefits, particularly for older users)

you can add stimulant based fat burner... though that is a matter of preference (age is a factor in decisions on whether to use stims).
