Fahrenheit 9-11

I haven't seen it yet. I let you know in September when it hits DVD.

yes believe it. although there Michael Moore has many enemies, the fact is............ every thing he reports is true.

The republicans hate him because he lifts the veil of lies spun around Bush. If people knew all of this about him in 2000 chances are he would never have been elected.

Well Im just a simple guy. And Im watching this movie now, and its scaring me.
Where did ya get it?

Anyone (see: Republicans who think Bush's shit don't stink) who dismisses this movie out of hand is doing themselves a disservice. While I personally think Michael Moore is a fat loser with an obvious agenda and that he pushes the envelope a little far in some areas, there is WAY too much stuff in that movie to completely dismiss it.

I didn't even know a lot of the stuff that was detailed in it. I'm not talking about veiled references at connections etc. but actual events and direct quotes from the Bush administration. Really fucked up man.

many factual errors in the movie

its fiction for the most part

Have you seen it?

yes - I believe it is irresponsible for anyone to say there were not significant fabrications or things taken from context and presented in a misleading manner...

BTW I regret spending any money on that crap.

BTW I am not going to get in a fact by fact fight with you over the movie- his stuff is based on fact - but he takes a lot of liberties in taking things out of context and twisting things around to propogate his views...

You should know me better than that :)

Totally agree as I stated above but all the factual evidence and direct quotes in that movie that can't be twisted around add up.

You can't call it purely fictional because it isn't. You can say that he obviously has an agenda and distorts things to suit his purpose but there are too many facts to call it fictional.

I agree he starts in fact, but so do the ramblings of crazy people...

Anything that is not 100% fact by definition is fiction.... otherwise you would have to define the line... is 80% fact enough.... 90% enough?

Becoming, I'm just curious how come you saw it?

Because although he might be a supporter of Bush, he has a more open mind than most. Go see it curling, you never know it might change your mind.

After I heard about bowling for columbine I wouldn't even think about giving that yayhoo any money . He is a commy.

There are truths and there are splices of footage of Bush...but in the whole scheme of things you can see that Bin Laden wasn't Bush's top priority.. if it were, he would have sent 2x the # of troops into Afghanistan to hunt down Bin Laden and caught him by now.. instead sending over 100,000 to Iraq.....

When Bush leaves office, he'll laugh his way to the bank...and his friends will too...basically made $$$ off the presidency and let whoever figure out what to do with post war Iraq

actually it made me sick that I was contributing any dollars to it and i would not repeat the experience...

but you should "know thy enemy"

9/11 is a gasp for fresh air from a system being suffocated by the special interests of a very, very small group of intensely powerful people.

The truth always hurts and denials always follow though I will freely admit that Moore had an agenda. But you knew that before you bought the ticket.

same thing occured with clinton and would occur with Kerry- the only difference is the air wasn't cut off all at once so that you did not know it was occuring....

A difference is that kerry/clinton are not members of the intensely powerful group that I was referring to.

The Carlyle group.
