There's retina transplants I think.

I saw a program where this blind guy had surgery done, and the docs put a fiber cable in his retina and he was able to see a little bit.

Don't know about eyeball transplants but I know they can do cornea transplants. I saw something where they can transplant the cornea from a shark to a person.

That's what I want....shark corneas!!

THey can replace the lens with a man-made one but not one from a donor. They can take corneas from donors though. Tissue harvest is pretty nifty. One of my profs does that as a day job.

Whats wrong with being blind?
I'm blind.

The most the blind has been able to see is "shadows" of light.

Even that was with millions of dollars worth of surgery. God i'd hate to be blind. I'd rather be dead. The pain and torture of just seeing black all day would be horrific.

guy down my street got an eye transpant it only works about 35% or something he can only see shadows and outlines hre was in a car accident and lost his orignal one but yea they did transplant something but not for blind people cause sometimes its in the brain of a blind person why they can not see
