Explaing BB to others....Grrr

GrandMaster

New member
ok, im really tired of going thru this with people who
think they know all, or ask questions and disbelieve what i tell them.

heres how it goes...

BB is a LONG TERM thing rite? well... for those of us who have goals...etc
its a hobby, and enjoyment, better then getting yourself in shit rite?

My G/f thinks i spend all my time in the gym, like thats what i revolve around.
generally,.. yes! everything from the rest i need, to breaking down EXACTLY what i eat to the bare facts!
i have to explain to alot of ppl how this system works, and how EVERYONE is different. everything u eat can have an big or little impact on your results, pending.

once i reach where i want to be, or believe i will be comfortable, i will just work to maintain that, and that now im working to gain, and it takes a LONG time and things dont happen over night.

does anyone else have to do this?
and does it really rattle your bones when they roll their eyes
when your talking or tying to explain?

how do u guys deal with such a thing?

If this is someone who spends lots of time very close to you, 2 options:

1) follow the slow, steady, consistent path of training, diet and dedication OR
2) the fast way -- eat 5 lbs of CellTech every day for a week, but you will emit odors that will wilt the tulips in Holland from across the pond and bring dark and dank times to your household.

i get asked stupid ass questions all the time about it, but the one that really bothers me everytime i hear it is "why do u want to be so big, why do u wanna do this" -- that right there really bothers me, i mean every person is different but why when u ask me a question and i answer u do u roll your eyes at me?? i think the problem is they just dont understand the "lifestyle"

why explain shit?

people would question my oatmeal and peanut butter and protein and other crap i kept at my desk.....i would just laugh and say something like "i don't eat like a slob like you".....in a nice way of course :D

imo the best way to get people to avoid the subject is to make your comments hit a nerve in the person, but dont be confrontational about it. for example, if an overweight girl is looking down her nose telling you that youre obsessed (or whatever) say something like "look, sex is important to me. i like getting with young, hot girls, and doing that is easier if im buff. if i dont look how i look, ill probably end up with some fat, pudgy girl and be really unhappy"

by then theyll probably seek to defend their being overweight, and once they have established that they arent one of the girls youre talking about, theyll probably never broach the subject again.

also works well with guys who have trouble picking up girls (90% of guys), guys who have nasty-ish partners, or people who are scared of getting old (just drop the "i dont want to wake up one day, in my mid 30s, and look...you know...old and horrible...so i eat what i do to avoid that")

i suppose im a bit of a bastard and make a lot of people insecure, but...oh well ;)

yea, its a lifestyle!

ppl i see regularly want to train, lots of the girls want to loose weight,.. BUT, they dont keep off the micky D's, junk.. cakes, cookies...

its a lifestyle that I CHOSE, and regardless of things im deprived of,. if i want to get some where,im going to put forth the dedications it requires

Some ppl are not dedicated to pushing themselves beyond thier limits, they would much rather do the things that are easy on the body; sit and watch tv for hours a day, eat fast food (cause they don't want to cook), but we know that these routines are hard on the body, and you feel best when you push yourself past those limits. Those sceptics can't see that, or don't want to see that, also, most of them are a bit envious of your acomplishment.
