ever had a dud needle????

I just got a bunch of needles and as I was going through them I had 2 dud ones. they didn't suck up any gear. has anybody had a dud one before?

I have had some bad one before.. They were all BD Brand.. The problem wasn't with the Needle itself but with the syringe Barrel.. When I went to inject i had gear squirt straight out the side of it from a small hole.. I think this happened about 3 times.. These were all from different boxes of pins all from CVS or Walgreens.. Talk about annoying... So I've switched to Terumo brand.. FYI they are much sharper so I've noticed

dull needles hell yes BD's new out of the box and try to go through scare tissue

I've only used Terumo and never had a problem.....thier teflon coated which makes for a nicer injection....

Yes.. More than once I have come across a dull BD out of the box.

heh i thought this was going to be a thread about dull pins. ive had 1 dull Terumo before, i hadnt used it or anyhting. I was injecting into delts, and I pushed that mother fucker in so hard and finally it broke the skin and i heard a "rippp" . I stapped myself, I was bleeding like a stuck pig. took me a while to not be afraid of sticking myself after that.

Terumo is a much better brands, it builds up less scar tissue...

same here terumos work great that is what I was shipped from getpinz.com great needles. Of course they are the only ones I have ever known...

I've never really noticed any dull needles, but i had a few syringe barrels that were completely blank straight out of the box. BD of course...

I was giving a patient a shot the other day, and when I started to push the plunger nothing happened. I pulled the needle out to find out that there was no lumen going through the needle. Poor patient had to be stuck twice to get one injection.
