For every up there is a down.. get ready for an emotional dive soon

Its really weird, but a lot of things in my life have been going my way lately. Just got a raise, training is going great, sold some property that just recently regained its value, my health and sleep quality have gotten 300% better and I dont get really happy about it, just real anxious and jittery. I dont know, maybe Im just not used to being happy and it bugs me because everything is going better than ever for me on every front, and I cant seem to experience any real "happiness". I get excited, then nervous, then emotional, and thats about it, then I feel the same as usual, not too up, not too down. I dont get it, is this what happiness really feels like or is it just me?

Sure, when things are going down, they can either get worse or get better. There is room for a lot of getting better, and an increasingly smaller amount of getting worse as you head towards death.

Then as things get better, there is a ceiling of that as well based on your current lifestyle, again, it is feasible that it can all go down at any minute.

You can either think about it and assume the worst and worry - or you can just ignore it and enjoy the ride of the ups and downs.
If it isn't as easy to turn that on and off, then there is always substance abuse, the cult/religion of your choice, or self inflicted death.

That right there is the essence of life.

Wow, thank you for that well thought out answer. Seriously, that makes sense. You are one deep dude, I mean that, thanks.
