Ever date a good friend?

I'm asking because a good friend of mine has (I think) started to develop feelings for me. I'm kinda stumped, because I dunno if I'm gonna wind up losing a good friendship if I screw things up in a relationship ...

Anyone ever have this happen?

I only date good friends. Why would you want to date a girl you aren't friends with?

Exactly. You already know what the person is really like so there's none of that pretending to be another person to try and impress them bs. All 3 of my relationships have been friends first. First one started when I was 16-19, then the next for 6 months then the present for 3 years.

one of the best big titty fucks I ever had was this girl I had been friends with for years first, but mainly bc she had a bf for 4 1/2 years so i was just waiting to nail her. The wait was damn worth it though.

Yeah I have- its sucks when it ends though- because you risk losing the friendship that started it all-- things get confusing when friendship and sex turn to love..
true, but when u have friendship, then love, then sex, and have all three happening at the same time, it's pretty damned good!!!!!!!

I dated my BEST friend. Then I married her, but before we were married we knew each other and were friends for almost two years.

See what happens. This might be what you want. Hooking up with a good friend can be a good thing because you already know the person and you are able to share the same feelings. Good luck. . . keep us informed.

Dating a long time friend has advantages and disadvantages.

pros: you're friends, relaxed around each other, know each other well, get along good together, and others.....

cons: if you break up, you risk loosing that friend. Plus if you two share other friendships it really puts a strain on those because to them it's kinda like taking sides.

Currently...I am dating my BEST friend...

gettinlarger, what YOUR motivation for possibly dating her? Are you just looking to have a good time with? If so, which is more important to you, your friendship or having a good time for a while? Are you possibly looking for someone to spend your life with? If so, a good friend is a good headstart. Regardless, you still run the risk of screwing things up.

BTW, I'm getting married to my best friend in a few months. Aww...

Heh. Congrats man.

I dunno. This girl is such a sweetheart. She's so nice, caring, understanding ... I know she'd never, ever cheat or hurt me. I always have fun around her. She has a great sense of humor, etc etc etc. I dunno. We'll see what happens ...

YOU MAY WIND UP LOSING A GOOD FRIEND, BUT YOU ALSO MAY WIND UP GAINING THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. YOU WILL NVR KNOW IF YOU DONT TRY. WHICH BRINGS US TO THE OLD ADDAGE OF "YOU CAN WIN THE LOTTERY IF YOU DONT BUY A TICKET"
