Evening Primrose Oil

Yeah I know, you thought you were going to come get some good new juicy information on Primrose Oil right??

Well too bad! Cause I don't know what the hell it does!


LOL, I was posting this because I remember several juicehead buddies of mine using this stuff, but I can't remember what for... Is it good for acne or something? I know its used by gearheads, but can't remember what for...

Anyone?
 
It contains a fatty acid (GLA)....has been used to treat MS. There was also some talk that it helps for people prone to strokes.....I think because it is an anti coagulant (sp). The GLA is converted to a hormone that increases blood flow.....this is a reason that it is also sometimes given to burn patients to help the healing process. I think it is also taken for PMS but not sure.

Some people swear by it for many alments...but I don't think it is substantiated.

I've read some herb books pertaining to hairloss and read that evening primrose oil was good to take in conjunction with other stuff like saw palmetto, stinging nettle, damiana leaves, zinc picolinate, etc. I was worried about losing hair on my last cycle so I was popping every herb, and mineral I could if I read it helped MPB.
