Ester experts wanted...

I know ALOT about Test, but there has always been one thing that has always stumped me. If you look on various websites including Elite, you can find a list of detection times for various steroids.

Now as we all know Test is Test once it is released from its ester. But on every detection time list, I always find that Enanthate and Cyp. have a maximum 3 month detection time, yet Test Prop is just 2 weeks. Sure the Test isn't released from the ester in Enan. and Cyp. for 7 days or so and Test Prop. has just a 2 days release period. But that still doesn't make any sense.

Where did these detection times come from? Especially on the Test Esters I've mentioned....Maybe you guys can help....

Ultragainz, nice try, but not exactly what I was hoping for. You would think that as you complete your last shot of whatever Ester you're on, that each day you would have less test in you're body. I just don't believe there is any Test remaining active in the body 3 months after your last shot of Enan. or Cyp. to even show up on a drug test. Not too mention my point about Prop. in my initial post. TEST IS TEST, right?

stumps you huh......kinda like those f*ckers that know they can sniff coke as long as they have 3 days they can beat the piss test, but someone w/ green needs 30 days......hhhmmmm just sucks that way...i know this didnt help just fucking w/ you


as for the test thing--dont know why but it makes sense prop kicks in a day or so and then gone w/in 2-3 days but can be detected up to 2 wks.....now the longer ones take at least 2 wks to kick stay for a wk to maybe 10 most , but can be detected 2-3 mnths---for as long as they last and then can be detected the proportions compared seem about right to me...

Prop is good for randomly drug tested athletes because the test-epi ratio returns to normal before all the prop is out of the system.

half lives

It's important to understand what the half life is and what it means.

Say you inject 1g of a steroid with a half life of one week. After a week, 500mg would have been de-esterified (over time), bound an AR or not and then excreted.

And that means that roughly 500mg of test is still in the ester form. It DOES NOT mean you have 500mg of test floating around the body for a week, binding AR's.

Once it's ester is removed, test has a half life of a couple of hours or so.

The reason why enanthate can be detected longer is simply b/c of it's half life.

Lets look at the mathematical model.

amount present at any day t is equal to

(starting amount) * e raised to ln(1/2)*t/half life of drug in days

So if you injected 1000mg of test with a 7 day half life (for example) after 30 days you will have, theoretically, 51 mg STILL in ester form, being released at it's slow rate.

Mind you, you will not fail a drug test by injecting 1g of test three months before a test. It takes some time of accumulation to make the 3 month detection time valid (if it is).

With propionate,

1000mg injected, say it has a 2 day half life. After one month, only 0.031mg remain esterified in the system.
