Emulating old games???

How do you do it. I can't get it to work?? Little help, I'm running windows XP if that helps.

I want to get my altered beast on.

You need an emulator to function as the console, and the ROM of the game. Zophar.net is about the biggest repository of emulators, hacks, cracks, and utilities you'll find anywhere, and they also have links to sites with game ROMs.

Start the emulator, then somewhere in the GUI, choose "run ROM" or "load ROM". Voila, instant nostalgia.

1. Get the latest version of MAME (v 63?). This is freely available
2. Get on Kazaa , do a search for MAME Roms , u will get lots of em.
3. Extract the MAME emulator , it will create a rom directory
4. Put all the extracted zip files into this rom directory.
5. Click the MAME.exe file and hold on!

U do not put the raw roms in the rom folder , what u want are the zip files that contains the roms. So to reiterate NOT the zip file that conatins the zip files that contain roms , but the zip file that contains the roms. So for example I have MAME32.exe and then in the rom subfolder i have a zip file starwars.zip that contains the roms. This WILL work.
