Ok Platinum members,

Thanks to you and all our Platinum Members for agreeing to help us beta test version 2 of our elitefitness.com stealth messaging email. It looks good to me so far, but we would really appreciate our members' feedback.

To test the new email system, please go to:
http://www.elitefitness.com/mailbeta/

You will need to sign up for a new account. Your beta tester email address will be: [email protected]

Several things to remember:

1. We really value your comments, so please post them in the EliteFitness.com Email Beta Testers thread on the EF Select Discussion Board.

2. All of your old email will be moved from your @elitefitness.com account if and when we change over, but this account is only for testing and so do not use it as a permanent email account.

3. We are already aware that email sent from any addresses @beta.elitefitness.com to any addresses @elitefitness.com will not be encrypted. The reason is because elitefitness.com mail is using Version 1.4 keys, whereas beta.elitefitness.com is using Version 2.0 keys. If and when we go live with version 2, all elitefitness.com email will be encrypted.

Again, we appreciate your support of the site as a Platinum member and value your opinions.

Just signed up for a Beta account. I like the look. Seems to work. Now let's see between Beta addies :)

Looks good, very "Windowsy." That's a plus as more people will be familiar with it.

When I moved an email from the Inbox to a folder that I had created, a Trash folder automatically appeared in the folder list. This is neither good nor bad, just an observation. Not sure whether that was supposed to happen or not.

Not sure what "Signers" means.

Would be nice if the Folder icons indicated the number of items they contained, if any.

The Help system is comprehensive. Just about any possible question is covered, always good.

I like the Contacts and Attachments features.

In the folder window, top level folders appear randomly as they are created and cannot be moved. No big deal, but some people like to have their inboxes on top of the list. (A "nice to have" would be drag and drop functionality, but not a necessity.)

Messages were sent and received almost instantaneously.

Looks very good everyone, much better!! Well done!!

That's ok. It says "@elitefitness.com", but it WILL sign you up with a new beta address. Just use the provided link and sign up as you normally would.

for some reason my elite mail never worked for me...also i forgot my password...e-mail me big George if you can

Ultra,

You need to get a new account to beta test the new system. And, because this is secure email, I cannot help you figure out your password, sorry. If I could, I could read your mail, and then it would not be secure.

Great interface and works very smoothly. Reminds me of ziplip. I just hope it doesn't get a slow as ziplip.

The layout is nice, easy to follow (I'd imagine) for just about anyone who knows how to turn on a computer....

I like the fact that the create mail pops up in a new window instead of taking over the current one.

I tried emailing my normal EF account and it didn't seem to get through, I got a returned mail error... Not sure what was up with that....

The interface is defenitely very solid though....

YUM

Ok, we need more help from you guys.

At first, I noticed that the url and status bar were missing the usual security features. ie: httpS and the padlock at the bottom. After looking at the properties of the page though, it seems as if the security is embedded into the elite fitness addy which is pretty cool.

Right, the page is framed. Also we took off banners and will probably just run one pop-back instead.

Willy - I got your return message but it was just a bunch of code. Nothing readable.

It took probably around 10 seconds for the message to decrypt when I got his email also.

Did it decrypt on it's own? That doesn't seem to be happening on mine.

I just pulled it up here at work where I'm on a network. Honestly, I wasn't aware that you needed to give it time to decrypt. The message simply came up as code and never changed. I had it open at least a couple of minutes.

Usually you shouldn't have to give it time but I thought it was a one time thing. Seems like a bug that the big guys will have to work on.

This is what I got:
