Elite Email - IMPORTANT

I have been recieving tons of emails lately with attachements from people I do not know and some from elite.

2 weeks ago I recieved a virus (actually a worm) anyway I ran Nortons and it took care of the problem.

But The last couple of days I have been recieving emails from people on elite which tell me I sent them an unreadable email.

I have not sent hardly any emails and the ones I sent were to people I have been corresponding with and they were readable.

If you have or do recieve and email from me with attachments DELETE AND DO NOT OPEN. Evidently this virus is sending out emails automatically. I don't know - I am not a computer expert.

Also, you might want to run and anti-virus if you have recieved an email from me.

Like I said my computer is clean but evidently the emails are still floating around.

btw - I started recieving these emails after we switched to the new email system - do not know if that has anything to do with it or if it is just a coincedent.

I also received an email today from someone I never heard of from Elitefitness mail.
It had an attachment that said Internet explorer patch 6.0
I didnt open it.
Just deleted it right away.
WTF is up with that?

oh yeah, and I've been getting the random e-mails with attatchments before the change over...but after the change over someone said that I sent them an unreadable e-mail...

well when i actually got the virus - I fucked up. I never open attachments from people i do not know. But someone was sending me pics to post and this happened to be sent at the same time.

I opened it without looking at the name.

ya i got that email from ya. the thing that scares me is that what ever it is, is not in your computer, its in your elite account. and how the hell did it get my ziplip account? im not in your address book or anything. you might want to change your password bro. it almost seems like someone has hacked into your account.

Guys, what is happening is there is a virus going around that sends itself out to other mail addresses it can find on your comp. Nothing new a lot of them do this. However this latest bug does something a bit different and it changes the "from" and/or the "reply-to" mail header of the outgoing mail it sends. What this means is it is disguising who it is really comming from. However, this is easily seen by simply looking at the mail headers.

Along with e-mail from people who didnt send them you are also likely getting e-mails from mail servers saying a message couldnt be delivered. It got returned to you because the virus that sent it used your addy as the "from and/or "reply-to" and most mail servers arent set up to look for the real source.

Yup, I am getting the play the game shit every day and also something about window and you will enjoy this.

I am getting at least 3or4 a day.

Guys, as I siad its likely comming from someone elses computer and the virus is putting your mail addy in the message to make it look like it cam from you.

If you get an email from me with an attachment. It is not me. I am not sending any emails with attachements out unless we have discussed it before hand. So delete if you get one.
