I have something like that. On the inner bony bump of the elbow, it's sore as hell from lifting heavy. I talked to my chiropractor and he showed me a way to help heal it faster. He explained that it is right where the tendons connect at the bump of the elbow. He said that the tendons become inflamed and "criss-crossed." He showed me a technique that really helps. You use your thumb and 'dig' into that area and move your thumb in a left to right fashion (back forearm to front forearm -not in the direction towards your hand). Really dig in and deeply massage the bone area where it hurts the most and move upwards about an inch. Do this for about 5 minutes then put ice on it for 10 minutes. Also, for some strange reason, taking liquid coral-calcium helps immensely. Hope that helps, it works good for me. And yes, try to avoid the excercises that inflame it like curling with a straight or curved bar - use dumb-bells instead.
