If I could give you a great answer, I wouldn't be sitting at this computer right now, and I'd be worth a hell of a lot more (financially) than I currently am.
No. But globalized economies are beyond the grasp of most people. I try to understand them the best I can, but I'm really no more qualified than a construction worker to estimate when the economy will turn around, even though I do study the economy to a great degree.
Nobody (even Alan G) knows when the economic growth will be back but we have to get ready and forecast it

NAPM, consumption, unemployment, ....
