eating for optimum performance

i play hockey professionally and would like some advice on how i should eat the day of a game in possible. how many hours before the game should i eat and what should i eat. i am blood type o negative. what should i be drinking before the game, during the game and after the game? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
 
hockey is one of my fav's i had nintendo game called blades of steel:D


ok enough with my history hehe..... i would toy around at first try low glycemic 1-2 hours b4 the game gatorade during the game and after, the best advice i can give is is to try out diffenent foods and supplements, can you take ephedra containing products those would defietly help 45 min b4 your game
 
yeah i agree with perfectspecimen, try the day before leading up to the game load up on low glycemic carbs such as brown rice, pasta, sweet potatoes, oatmel and during the game a gatorade or powerade, basically something with some fast absorbing carbs to keep you with energy.
 
pasta makes me go to sleep. how long before the game should i eat my carbs and how long before should i eat protein and fat? what would be better than pasta?

yams, oatmeal, whole wheat bagels bread low gi fruit just to name a few
