Easy Ebay question. Please ANSWER!

When you do the "buy it now" option and make a payment with Paypal from Ebay, do you still need to notify the seller that you paid for the items?


I did the buy it nowe and went through the payment options with paypal and got sent Email receipts from PayPal. Is that all I do? Should I contact the seller now? I thought it was done automatically. I have'nt heard from the seller since Jan. 3rd.

Same here, but I will usually email them asking for a tracking number when the item is sent.

So is this considered late to not have sent it yet? or even notified me in any way? wtf? from the 3rd to the 5th and still nothing... they're not a small 10 items sold person. They have a good amount of traffic, I think. They have an Ebay store and stuff. lol I know that probably does'nt mean much.

But anyway, they sell vacuum stuff. They're not like high priced electronics to rip people off.

Should I send them a message? I don't want to seem pusshy. I don't do this Ebay stuff too much.

You are asking a question about the product you purchased for them. Email them and ask if/when they sent it and when you should expect it...

I hope they had good feedback. I have had a few do me like you are talking about. I usuallt will email them anyway just so I have a "paper trail" if something is to go wrong.

If they haven't contacted you by tomorrow, I would get real concerned.

If you don't have it in hand in 2 weeks do the paypal grievance thing. You only have 30 days to complain, then you're sol.

Somewhere in the item description there might be a order processsing time, 3 days sounds long, to not get a tracking number email. Not being pushy if you wait this many days, and request shipping status. They usully won't negative feedback you for that.

If you still don't get this problem fixed, well, that sucks and you were a victim of eBay fraud. But wait, there's hope....track down the motherfucker/s and kill him/them. That way you can get your money back and teach the guilty party a lesson, as well as other would-be scammers when they see your ass on tv getting dragged to prison that this shit won't fly forever and dire consequences can and will result from their foolishness. Give the camera a crazy look when they film you, as if to say, "When I get out I'll kill you too."
That way they'll never feel safe and will continue to refrain from said scamming.

Oh well, I did that today. i sent an E-mail stating I paid through Paypal for the two items and did not get any info back (except the PP receipts). They have'nt sent back a reply yet.

They have a 99+ rating. I don't know what's going on.


By "pushy" I meant I did'nt know the protocol for these things. If people waited a week, I did'nt want to be the guy who E-mails them after 3 or 4 days and asks "Where's my package, damnit??!!!" lol Apparently, by the replies here, there is no set timetable for getting antsy.

i would notify them one more time, and then start the process of filing a Paypal dispute...

if everything turns out ok then, you can quit the proceedings... if not, then at least you have some recourse for a refund...

I've had near 100% success with ebay, but over Christmas I didn't get two items from two seperate sellers. This stuff was ordered in November, I'm getting the run around but negative feedback is about to fly!

^^^^^Something is'nt right with my transaction only. There are great feedback scores coming in every day up to today, yesterday.... I just came under the radar or something... He's a power seller with 99.7% feedback score.

Items were shipped today. No Email, replies... no nothing.... Just got the first email today "Item shipped" wtf? Anyway, glad it's coming. Thanks for the replies.



Now I'm waiting on another purchase that I did NOT go through Ebay with. I'm wondering about this one but the seller AGAIN, seems good for it. I sent the PayPal to his adress but not through Ebay for 3 items=$300. No reply yet. lol I keep playing with fire.
