E-Gold ??

I'm looking into setting up an e-gold account. In their home page they say there is a way to use a credit card to fund the account. But after checking at a few transfer people I see no one that uses credit cards. How are other people using this system? How do you fund your accounts?

It sucks..you have to choose one of those currency exchangers...
Then you have to transfer money to them..and they exchange it and you have to pay a exchange rate...each one of those brokers are different on how they are set up

I used bullionexchange and they charged 3%. I mailed them a cashier's check and they funded my account about five days later.

Yea it looks that way to me. I was hoping to find an exchange that I can use a credit card to fund the account but so far no luck. But if it's only three percent it's cheaper then WU.

GoldEX has it set up so that you can use a credit card via a thrid party, but its outragrously expensive. Never seen an exchage that will do credit cards that charge less than like 10%, usually more. Its much better to just mail a cashiers check or if your in a hurry you can do an international wire transfer but your bank may charge you a ton to do it so watch out for that.

e-gold is used for safety and anonymity, that is why you can't use credit cards; plus it prevents scams and chargebacks.

Just send them a money order and quit complaining.

this brings to mind evocash...never again, ill bite the bullet and pay the WU fee rather then lose all my money in my account when they decide to run with it....

stay away from thebullionexchange right now..

i made a direct deposit last tues and am still waiting for my account to be funded..

i sent an email no response.
i called the number and they have a message stating that they are backed up on work and are not answering any calls ...this message
has been on their vm since thurs.

I got an email from them, they usually send MOs once they clear with the bank.

Exactly! Anyone not using egold does not have safety at the top of their list. Most egold exchangers also accept WU to fund your account. Any yes, exchangers charge a fee, but how much is your safety worth?

my safety was worth about $500.00 which is what evocash (same service practically) ran off with of mine....

When you set up an e-gold account you need to give them a name and address. Are you saying that you used a phoney name and address?

I stopped using evocash the laste few months as I saw it all coming. Evocash and E-gold are apples and organges. Evocash was backed by good-will/air, E-gold is back by REAL gold reserves, so stop the comparisons.
