Anyone use one or know anyone who has? For how much they cost ($400) I wonder if they are really any good....

We bought the Animal one - you will be amazed at how much it picks up.

You get what you pay for.

I think it's great - gobs of cat / dog hair get picked up that other vacumns don't get.

yeah, works well, bought it for Mom, she loves it. Dyson's founder is an entrepreneurial inventor, the kid of guy who deserves your support.

Recommend you buy it.

Yeah, but does it work better than any other vacuum she's ever had??

I prefer to cut out the middle man (the carpet), and just run that bastard right over my Ridgeback's body......works like a charm.

Well worth the money IMO. :)

If you have pets you need the pet one. That is $500.

I don`t have one btw. I would but I have a central vac system and don`t wanna mess with it.

I did that before with our old vac - dog didn't mind. I'm a bit nervous trying it with this new vac - this one has some major suction.

We have a central vac system also....but it doesn't do the job the Dyson does on pet hair.

Dyson Animal = $2 crack ho.....it can suck a bowling ball through a garden hose.... :)

Yes they are great and Matt is right , the inventor is a genius - they have designed a revolutionary washing machine as well now.

I'm a bit of a vacuum nerd.
I like the Dyson cuz she gets every damn thing off the floor.

But I usually use my Electrolux cuz it's quiet.

I was looking at the DC 14. Looks pretty schweet. Do you think the dual drum washing machine wears out your clothes?
