Ok... so how did the temple "heat up" all of a sudden? You know to show up and lure the humans there.


How did the Queen get there? Was she captive from 1904 or whenever the last hunt was? What did she eat then?

Also, was their intentions to hunt and kill the queen as well?

The temple was heated via alien technology that we cannot possibly understand given our inferior intellects. I believe the queen was used originally to breed the first aliens they hunted and killed and then was put into some sort of hibernation until the next hunt.
I don't recall how the queen escaped, but I don't think they had intended for everything to get out of hand.

1. It automatically heats up ever 100 years. Not sure of the power source
2. They held her captive. She was frozen. No need to eat
3. Nope. She makes the prey they hunt.
