DRUG TEST- please help

Okay I just had to take a 6633N SAP 10-50 GC/MS piss test. Is this the basic drug test that just test for stuff like marijuana, coke,etc. ? Is got me wondering because the specimen(pee) is being send off to get tested and this job is pretty important. Have any of you guys failed a piss test because of steroids or heard of anyone else? I know it is costly to test for steroids,but I don't think money is a problem with this company. I am on nolva and Sustanon 250 right now. Thanks all for help and K to however can tell me what that test is.

usually they do not test for steroids.......It's actually pretty expensive to do so.

I read somewhere that it cost something like $250 to test for steroids. I don't think that is much money compared to how much it cost to hire someone. I know they don't usually test for steroids, but the sending it off and that weird ass 6633N.... has got me a little worried about it. I wish I could find what this specific drug test actually test for. Thanks muscleup for response.

The standard drug tests test for marijuana, amphetamines, opiates, cocaine and it's derivatives ie. crack or lidocaine, and pcp.

It's a basic drug screen - cannibinoids, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, phencyclidine (pcp), barbituates. You'll be ok bro.

I wouldn't worry about it bro....i've taken many piss tests while on a cycle and passed everyone of them. Like everyone is saying.....they don't test for steroids in a standard drug test. You'll be fine....

I sell among other things drug screen tests for physician offices. I can tell you this much, not 1 urine test (that I've seen in 7 years) has a reagent for any type of steroid built into it. If they're sending your sample off, it's going to a contracted lab company (DLS, Clinical Labs, etc) and they're putting it on a chem analyzer, which is standard stuff. Don't freak because it's being sent off, if it's a big company, they do that for efficiency not to single somebody out. There's a chance your company could have the steroid policy, but it's doubtful. Company literature will tell you their policy on such things if you have access to it. I'm interested to know if it's possible to test for roids from urine sample anyway, it makes sense to me that it would have to be a blood sample. I'm going to look into that.

My buddy is going through the exact same thing right now, and I'll tell you what I told him...don't sweat it you're all good.

99% of the time steroids are tested for through urine. Few people are willing to give blood, but urine is pretty simple.

You're right I just did some research. I wouldn't say it 99%, but I agree with you. I don't know much about testing for steroids, but everytime I've heard about it, it's been blood tests. I still don't think that this guy has anything to worry about though. Most employers do a standard drug screen and don't even test for gear. One reason being that it costs them more money.

so MLB/NFL etc. are all testing urine samples?

It's interesting that there's not a commercially available test for Dr's offices that can do that if it's purely a urine-based test. Either it's a specific piece of equipment that does it or it's marked moderately/highly complex by CLIA (Clinical Lab Information Act) meaning Doc's can't do it in office without more advanced certifications and scrutiny, so it's not widely marketed/sold.

I need to look into this some more.

All I really found in my research was that it can be detected in urine, not that urinalysis was the method used the most. I still think bloodwork is probably the preferred and more accurate method of testing. I agree with you jumpshot.

True , steriod testing in any work place is very rare.
Consider doing what I did,
Off cycle when I knew my levels would be bottoming out I went to the doctor and asked them to test my T Levels, they were below 300 (which is still in the acceptable range) but I more or less demanded HRT. I got it so now if I'm ever tested (and I am) then I have a pass

actually most steroid testing that i know of is urinalysis. but they have to a separate test for each compound they want to know about it. unless you are doing this test for some sort of athletic committe, i would not sweat it bro. even gov agcy's dont test for gear for preemployment.
(do you look JACKED ? , do they have a reason to suspect ? )

Its not for government agency or athletic comm., but by looking at me I think you can definately tell I work out regularly. I feel pretty good about it now. I just needed someone to reassure me. I'm just a little nervous about it because I have been trying to get this job for awhile now. Everything has been to perfect and smooth lately and you know Murphy's Law "I something can go wrong it will". Anyway thanks to all you guys for responding. I will know if I passed sometime this coming week. I will let you guys know how it went.
