Drawing Back With Syringe Question

When u are injecting, how much should you draw back on the syringe to see if u have hit a vein?

Also is drawing back too much not good for u? because aren't u drawing back air?

If your in a vein you'll know. It takes next to no force to pull back on a plunger and have blood come rushing in if you're in a vein. You can only draw back so much, and you may even get a little air bubble you sucked out. It's no big deal, just inject because you know your obviously not in a vein.
