Does anyone out here had any experience about using this medicine? Info's?
I know that you can't have antacids, vitamin, magnesium, calcium or iron 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking it. 6 to 8 hours intervals between doses. ( This might sound dumb but I am going to ask anyways, so if you take it at 12:37 pm your next dose would be 3:37 pm and this would apply every other day right?) I heard also that you can't lay down for 30 minutes after taking it. :coffee:

Here's the thing though the person have IV fluid before and is taken every 12 hr. Now the dr switch him to Oral antibiotic ( not the same kind of antibiotic though) I ask the nurse if he should continue the 12 hrs thing to his oral but they just said as long as taken twice a day is fine.

I am like what, Isn't there suppose to be interval hours between dose and it should be taken the same time everday in order for the medicine to be fully effective?

Thanks Ulter for the response, I heard that usually for the dosage and administration is every 12 hrs. Is this right?

Yeah he's taking it around 10:30 am then 10:30 pm (10 days)

well he was taking it around 12:37 pm and 11:37 pm ( first day) but he change the time frame today because he said the time schedule didn't work for him. I wonder if that's going to affect anything. Is it?

No idea... I know that for me (and alot of people) it takes 2 weeks of continuous use for it to be noticable. So for it to take effect, it's more of a long term medication until it's not needed any longer.

The Dr prescribed it to him for 10 days. He was on Iv Antibiotic for three weeks and now he's home taking oral for 10 days. The only thing that they mention is to take one tablet twice a day. They didn't mention anything about the duration of time between dose. Weird huh
