Well you can try and filter out the vocals.. but for remixing i would reccomend sonic foundry ACID. Will you be recording your own stuff or just doing loop based remixing type stuff?

well i always hear these horrible remixes....and i'm always coming up with good songs to mix up, just thought i would mess around with it for fun in my spare time.

oh definately get ACID 3.0 or better... you can import mp3 into it and it will beat chop and mix tempos and such... you can do a whole lot with it... just have to practice and figure it out.

Cool Edit Pro ane WaveLab are some of the best editors you can get.

Kazaa has the latest which isn't that new. MP3 is MP3. How deep into this are you because there are some MIDI programs out there too. If you are thinking about a Fantom keyboard style device you may want to look into some of the higher end programs. Shit, I can't remember the name of it but I D/L'ed it when I was trying to get the cash together for a Roland. Great thing about midi and being able to edit the sheet is that you can suck and still sound great! :)

If you need something just use the username to get in touch. I filter spam so in the header just put in caps EXTREAMxxx.

if you want to do MIDI then go with Cakewalk... ACID 3.0 will work with 2000 trust me :) I have it on my laptop as well as my home systems. Cool Edit Pro is the best as far as sampling and editing goes IMO. Want me to list all the software I use?
