Double Edged Sword: The American Consumer

We complain how we cant afford goods and services at certain prices, yet when corporations/business owners make attempts to provide more affordable goods and services (ie. outsourcing, etc) we complain even more (job loss). It seems there is really no cure to our ailing economy and direction.

I guess thats the golden ticket, whats our answer?

The solution is don't fuckin complain and accept the natural attrition of certain jobs, and develop unique skills that can't be outsourced so easily. Companies outsource bullshit jobs for the most part like customer service and production, if thats all you can do with your life you're probably a fuckin retard and can't afford much anyways, and have ultimately little to no impact on te economy

The people spending money are the ones who have it

And no cure for our economy? Yeah right. People have money and will spend it. Where are all these people complaining about prices for things? Other than gas...stuff like housing and such is extremely affordable historically speaking.

Opportunity is out there, that's all I'm gonna say. There were always jobs available when I looked, I started at the bottom making 12 dollars and hour when I got my first full-time job and I have worked my way up since then. People have this idea that they are too good for certain jobs and they refuse to start at the bottom. A big part of the problem is psychological in my opinion with the welfare system enabling them.

:D CW.....just left a discusstion on this B/S and pissed me off. People complaining about outsourcing and it bugged me for the reasons you mentioned.

/agree

Outsourcing isn't the problem. The problem is we're not setup to capture the better jobs that are supposed to move-in behind the crappy ones that move out.

1) Failed government schools insure our kids are dumber than ever.
2) Crappy parenting (primarily due to the breakdown of the family structure) insure they are fatter and have less values than ever.
3) Our government's war on jobs insures there are no good manufacturing jobs waiting for skilled employees who want to use their hands
4) Prohibitive regulatory, taxation and tort policies insure no one wants to setup shop in the US
