it is true that something must be done, but this is just vain.

The concept being popular on the first place is the reason for its apparent flaw.

first of all, it should not be called a clock. Because there is no standard measure of anything really with respect to time. They adjust that regardless of standard chunks of time.

For example, its pretty stupid to push the "clock" to midnight, right after a nuclear war has started.

It is also vain because it has no characteristic, or property to predict the future. No scientific instrument is installed in the so called clock. It is mere speculation by a group of egotistical men who consider themselves above the rest of the society, as if they are specially gifted.

In case of hawking, he is more known for his work ethic as opposed to his genuis.

The clock is completey useless. I bet its even worse off than an ordinary clock, as it doesn't have any operating mechanism whatsoever.

I can see how sub would think they are ego driven men, lets see they make up a fake clock sit around at some high society meeting (for scientists only) they then proceed to speculate weather or not to move the whole world into the age of the apocolypse.........hmmm ya I would call that egotistical for sure.
