Didn't they try this once before? They were going to use that football player that does the Radio Shack commercials back when the Original Doom was popular as "The Sarge". Don't think the movie ever made it to the editing room it was so bad.

That was it, I couldn't remember his name for the life of me. CGI will probably make it somewhat better than the older version was, but nothing will give the fear factor of the game experience when it first came out.

yeah it was. well, mostly anyway...there are always going to be a few genes out there that arent included in any major sequence

biotech has moved past the genome into the proteome now (ie proteins encoded by the genes in the sequenced genome) so get comfy, this is going to take a while

anyway, by the looks of the trailer, theyre doing a Resident Evil and AVP job, and trying to explain everything to the audience like we're idiots :roleyes: ...and the rock? theyre using the ROCK? ech. here we go, Scorpion king on mars, here we go.

imo they should skip the cliched genome gone apeshit bullshit and just follow the material in the game - i mean, they wrote 4 graphic novels after doom 2, so youd think that theres enough material there for a simple movie - AND, for the love of God, develop the characters a bit before they kill them, not like AVP, where it was like "hi, my name is angela, AAAAAAHHHHH!!!" dead.

maybe go for a dark thriller, but with guns. but nooooooooo we're going to get a bullshit early boy-teen movie thats going to have me popping roofies in the theater
