What is your favorite doom/sludge stuff?
I seriously can't get enough of some real heavy slowed down doom like Buried at Sea, Sleep, and Khanate. Through in some Goatsblood in there and it's a good day.
I also love the more groovy stuff like Electric Wizard, Ramesses, and Goatsnake.
As far as sludge goes, Crowbar, Solient Green, and Eyehategod always bring the awesome but I'm loving this newer crop of bands that have that real heavy sound like Knut, Keelhaul, Meatjack, Sweet Cobra, Cavity, and Swarm of the Lotus. The new Rwake album is pretty damn cool too.
Of course, if you want to call stuff like Old Man Gloom, 5ive, Isis, Pelican, and Neurosis doom then that definitely tops my list.
Been looking around for some Yeti, YOB, and Sun 0))) records but no luck finding anything yet.
Anyway, keep the thread going, talk up some doom/sludge and appreciate.
